Community Groups are the best way to get connected in our church. Experience the love and encouragement of Christian fellowship in a smaller, more relational context. Groups meet on Sunday mornings and during the week.

Associate Pastor of Community Groups
Bill grew up as a preacher’s kid in Dixon’s Mills, Alabama. He graduated in 1976 from LeTourneau University with a degree in History. After working in business for three years he attended and graduated with a degree in secondary education and Bible from Southeastern Bible College in 1981. He and Becky were married in 1981, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After teaching school for two years, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated with a Th.M. (1987). He also did additional course work for a D.Min. at Beeson Divinity School. (2003-2005). He served as assistant pastor of Lake Ridge Bible Church in Mesquite, TX 1987-1990. In 1990 he accepted the call to Community Bible Church and served as Senior Pastor until 2009. He then was called to serve as Senior Pastor at Madison Bible Church in Madison, Alabama from 2009 to 2024. He and Becky moved back to Baton Rouge in November 2024, and they are excited to be back at CBC. They are enjoying spending time with their three children and their spouses and 10 grandchildren who all live here.
